Pit Bull Attack

Jackson, MI -- Animal control responded to Devereaux Road in Parma Township for a pit bull that had bitten a child in the face. The child was visiting at a relatives home. She approaced a chained pit bull and the dog then bit the child in the face. She was taken to Oaklawn Hospital in Marshal. She received several stitches to the face and was released. The dog is now quarantined at the Jackson County Animal Shelter and the prosecutor's office is reviewing the case.
