Chattanooga Police responded to the call of a dog bite at 2012 Wilson Street around 7:40 p.m. Friday when an 8-year-old boy was attacked by two chained dogs.

The child was visiting his cousin when he wandered into the back yard where the dogs were. The dogs were feuding with one another when the child got in between them and was bitten.

He suffered lacerations to his head, neck and arms and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. His current condition is not known, but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

No charges will be filed.
