Child bitten by dog -
Six-year-old suffered injuries to the head

CLEVELAND, OHIO - Just before 9:00 PM Monday night, Cleveland Police were called to 3540 West 63rd Street for a child bit by a dog.

The Animal Control Officer responded and learned that a six year old boy was transported by EMS to the hospital for injuries suffered from a dog bite.

The ACO learned that the dog was chained in its own yard at 3580 West 63rd Street when the incident occurred. It was reported that the six year old child entered onto the property of to play with the dog owner’s child.

The dog was impounded for quarantine and is being housed at the City of Cleveland Kennel. The dog is a male Labrador / Shepherd mix approximately two-years-old.

The bite report from the hospital states that the child was bit on the head.
