Three year old mauled by chained pit

A three year old Madison girl was mauled by a pit bull in her back yard yesterday. Animal control told News 2 if the neighbors that own the pit bull claim the dog, it will get a ”vicious” file.

Animal control says the dog was at a neighbor’s house when it broke it’s chain and attacked the toddler. The girl is at Vanderbilt Medical Center being treated for bite wounds on her face.
