Boy,
3, left with large bite from pit bull puppy
Officer Katherine Finnell said police interviewed the boy and determined he’d been bitten while in the backyard at 911 N. 30th St. by one of two pit bull puppies chained up there. The boy had gone to the house with his aunt and was playing in the backyard at about 1:20 p.m. when it happened. Police cited the dog’s owner, 29-year-old Todd A. Nelson who lives at that address, and the boy’s aunt, 25-year-old Anita Harper of 1640 Washington St., on suspicion of false information. Finnell said they’d told police another dog from the neighborhood had done it. Animal Control ended up taking both puppies, she said. |
