LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A pit bull bit a 9-year-old louisville girl this weekend.

Now, Metro Animal Services is trying to determine if the owner is to blame.

Kayla Coslow, was bitten in the face by a 3-year old pit bull.

Authorities said she needed nine stitches.

The girl was playing at a friend's home in the Fairdale area.

Barbara Hancock, the owner of the dog, said the dog was restrained at the time.

She said her kids and their friends have been told not to pass a specific barrier, which is just out of reach of the dog's tethered line.
