The initial goal of Parents Against Dog Chaining is to raise awareness of this aspect of the dog chaining problem in America. Chained dogs can and do kill children because they are unsocialized with humans! Parents Against Dog Chaining will create educational materials to get into the hands of children and parents. We hope to educate through our school systems and direct one on one contact, either by mail or through speaking engagements, making citizens aware of the need to better socialize the family companion.

Parents Against Dog Chaining also intends to educate those considering laws against chaining of dogs for life, and to advocate for better laws to protect our children and socialize our dogs.

Currently Parents Against Dog Chaining is an initiative of Dogs Deserve Better, but will be earmarked for the Parents Against Dog Chaining initiative. Please make any checks payable to Dogs Deserve Better, and put Parents Against Dog Chaining into the note section so we know where to use it.
