The initial goal of Mothers Against Dog Chaining is to raise awareness of this aspect of the dog chaining problem in America. Chained dogs can and do kill children because they are unsocialized with humans! Mothers Against Dog Chaining will create educational materials to get into the hands of children and parents. We hope to educate through our school systems and direct one on one contact, either by mail or through speaking engagements, making citizens aware of the need to better socialize the family companion.

Mothers Against Dog Chaining also intends to educate those considering laws against chaining of dogs for life, and to advocate for better laws to protect our children and socialize our dogs.

Currently Mothers Against Dog Chaining is an initiative of Dogs Deserve Better, but will be earmarked for the Mothers Against Dog Chaining initiative. Please make any checks payable to Dogs Deserve Better, and put Mothers Against Dog Chaining into the note section so we know where to use it.
